Day 1: Departing from South Bend at 9:30AMyou'll travel on a deluxe motorcoach to Frankenmuth, Michigan. Along the way, we'll stop at the Honolulu House in Marshall, Michigan, and explore this historic structure built in 1860 during a guided tour. Lunch will follow at Cracker Barrell. Once in Frankenmuth, we'll check in, have free time to shop at some of the unique shops in downtown Frankenmuth, and then enjoy a delicious German schnitzel dinner at the Bavarian Inn Lodge, with live entertainment.
Day 2: The next day, we will travel to Saginaw, Michigan to tour the Marshall M. Fredricks Sculpture Museum. One of the most prolific sculptors of the twentieth century, Marshall M. Fredericks is known for The Spirit of Detroit and Christ on the Cross at the Indian River Catholic Shrine in Indian River Michigan, but his work can be found all across American and Internationally. The museum features grounds and exhibits over 200 of his works. Enjoy lunch on your own when we return to Frankenmuth, and afterward we'll visit Bronner's Christmas Wonderland, or you can enjoy leisure time on your own. In the evening we'll enjoy The Bavarian Inn's World Famous Family-Style Frankenmuth Chicken Dinner.
Day 3: A trip to Frankenmuth would not be complete without exploring the over 50,000 holiday items at Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland, the largest holiday store in the world. A perfect stop before the holidays. After we leave Frankenmuth, we will have an opportunity to try some delicious coffee as we tour the Coffee Beanery in Flushing, Michigan. This 45,000-square-foot facility houses the headquarters and production facility where the hand-selected beans are roasted, packaged, and sent to go all across the country. The Shaw family started the company in 1976 and has been serving fabulous coffee ever since. We'll return to South Bend around 5pm.
